“Change is the only constant.” This might be a cliché, but it’s never been more true.
In my conversations with dozens of fellow leadership developers over the past few months, the challenge of ongoing disruptive change has been the core issue underlying nearly everything else we’re facing in our organizations.
At the same time, I’ve been spending the last few months reflecting on the direction and purpose of Deeper Work. I’ve always been passionate about deeper meaning and leadership development, but now it feels like there’s an opportunity to get even more focused with how we help leaders thrive in these disruptive and chaotic times.
So I’m excited to announce the first of several changes for me and for Deeper Work: we are rededicating ourselves to helping people-focused leaders navigate constant change by leading with meaning.
This is more than a motto, it’s a movement. My vision is to bring together like-minded leadership developers from all different roles, whether L&D, HR, DEI, or functional/business leaders, whether internal or an external coach/consultant, to combine our energy toward helping ourselves and our people to get grounded, get connected, and drive meaningful impact even in the midst of constant change.
What will this look like? Here are a few changes already in the works:
- The Deeper Work team will be expanding — more on this soon!
- We’ll be creating and piloting new offerings focused on helping leaders, managers, and teams develop resilience that actually helps them navigate constant change (beyond just the same old change management methods).
- Our current L&D Leaders Roundtable will evolve into a broader community — we’re working out the details, but it will be a monthly group that’s open to all leadership developers, more info to come.
- I’ll be sending newsletters more frequently than 1 per month, to keep you all connected. If that doesn’t work for you, I completely understand — feel free to unsubscribe at any time, no hard feelings.
And
if you’re seeing this challenge of constant change showing up for your organization, I’d love to chat and hear how you’re tackling it — and maybe see if there’s anything we can do to help. Feel free to
grab time here, and let’s chat.
Thank you all in advance for your energy and support. I’m excited to continue this journey with all of you!
